The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and partner groups such as the Myrtle Beach Regional Economic Development Corporationa nd the Coastal Carolinas Association of Realtors have jointly recognized the importance of reaching investors and relocating individuals. Advertising is underway to encourage business and individual relocation with a warm welcome extended by the Myrtle Beach area groups.

New Shopping Centers Underway

We have several Walmart stores. We have Target. We have Marshalls. Also, dozens more big box stores, malls, boutiques, beachwear stores and flea markets will offer almost anything you need when visiting or relocating to the Myrtle Beach area.

Two new shopping centers on the south end of the beach area, including a town center named Sayebrook, are under construction and reported to have some stores open this summer such as Walgreens, Target, Petco and Marshalls. Increases in jobs leading to improved consumer confidence generated a rise in previously occupied home sales nationally last month, according to the National Association of Realtors.

Proposed Annexation Request Withdrawn

Local news reports state “Property owner withdraws Barefoot annexation request in North Myrtle Beach.” The request had been approved by the city’s planning commission and was scheduled for discussion at this week’s city council meeting. Some residents had expressed opposition.
